Royston Tickner (George Bradley)

George Bradley is the landlord of the Bull Inn
in St Oswalds. Initially he seems to be the perfect host but after
a while he reveals a more shifty and sinister side. Commander
Traynor is suspicious of Bradley from the beginning and makes
many veiled references to the past and Bradley's activities during
the war. Eventually it turns out that Traynor's suspicions are
quite justified and after a tense confrontation with the Commander,
Bradley disappears into the night.
Royston Tickner was born in 1922 in Leicestershire
(coincidentally near the ficticious location of St. Oswald) He
remains a familiar face to British TV viewers for rolls in many
programmes including the World War II thriller series Danger UXB
and the accalimed children's comedy series of the seventies, Rogue's
Rock. He is died only a few years ago.
