Mary Larkin (Maria)

Maria is a sensitive young student who volunteers to work with Professor Devereaux on his longevity experiments during her vacation from university. Simon initially meets her in 1970 but she appears decades older than the version he and Liz later encounter in 1965 - only five years previously! Maria befriends Liz and Simon in 1965 and it is with her help that they manage to escape R1 and return to their own time phase.
