The Wrong
End Of Time - Part Three

Written by Bruce Stewart
An angry Gottfried takes Simon and Liz back to the Operations
room. On the floor is the unconscious Frank.
Traynor and Skinner are still arguing outside the naval station.
Gottfried asks Liz what is wrong with Frank. He checks the supply
room for an explanation but finds none. He tells Liz to look after
Frank in the Common room. Simon is fiddling with the radar equipment
when Gottfried sees him and tells him to stop, believing that
Commander Traynor has told him to sabotage it. He orders Liz to
fix them all some food whilst Simon tells him all he knows about
the equipment.
Graz and Fritz take the unconscious Frank into the Common room
where Commander Traynor is also imprisoned.

Outside the Ministry field, Skinner stumbles and clutches his
head. He mentions a sudden flash of bright light. His memories
of 1940 are starting to return. Traynor tries to question him
about the "job" he asked him to do during the German
take over.
Liz is sorting through the food in the storeroom cupboard but
can only find several tins of pilchards in tomato sauce. She returns
to the Operations room where Gottfried and Simon are trying to
get the radar equipment working. The German is impressed with
Simon's amazing scientific knowledge. Liz is still worried about
Frank whilst Simon is perplexed about the vision they had of her
father and Traynor outside the station. He suggests they make
a plan to escape using the hole in the fence. He admits he knows
a lot about the development of radar during the war and is worried
that Gottfried may eventually force it out of him.
In the Common room, Liz serves up some food. Commander Traynor
quietly asks her to create a diversion whilst he attempts to question
the still groggy Frank to discover whether he managed to carry
out his instructions. Gottfried enters and prevents the Commander
from getting a coherent answer. He invites Traynor to have dinner
with him.
At the Bull Inn, Bradley offers a recovering Jean a drink. He
warns Jean about digging up the past before leaving. As she sips
her tea, she "sees" Liz tending the unconscious Frank
in 1940.
Jean relates her vision to Traynor and Skinner and her open-mindedness
allows her to piece together what is happening and to identify
Frank from it. She asks Traynor for an explanation. Traynor explains
that the children are not in danger since they are not actually
there but undergoing a hallucination. She asks Traynor what they
should do. Traynor is open to suggestions.
Simon is left alone in the Operations room as Fritz and Graz go
outside to send a signal. He begins to relate a plan to Liz.

Commander Traynor and Gottfried are finishing off their meal
of pilchards in the former's office. Gottfried admits to knowing
of the Commander's work and of writing to him once before the
war. Traynor suddenly recalls Gottfried by name and the help he
gave him. However, he quickly realises they are now on opposite
sides in a war. Gottfried questions him further about Simon but
Traynor is unable to offer any answers about him. Finally, Gottfried
asks Traynor about his real work at the naval station.
Liz is washing up in the Operations room when Gottfried enters.
Simon and Liz tell him that Sarah saw someone burying something
outside. Gottfried is still suspicious of the two but decides
to get Sarah and investigate.
In the Common room, Liz tells Sarah to play along as she, Simon
and Gottfried take her outside despite protestations from Commander
Traynor.
Back at the Bull Inn, Jean and Skinner are alone in their room.
They are discussing her visions. Skinner is beginning to accept
the strange occurrences as he leaves Jean reading a book.
Gottfried, Sarah, Simon and Liz are near the hole in the fence
that marks the entrance to the time barrier. Sarah points out
some rocks, which Gottfried investigates. With Gottfried now occupied
and Simon helping him, Liz forces Sarah through the time barrier.
When she tries to follow, she gets her sleeve caught on the fence
and struggles to free herself. Suddenly, she is spotted by Fritz
who raises his gun to strike her.
In the present day, Jean lets out a scream...
